PowerTeacher Messaging
We would really like to use PowerTeacher messaging especially with the loss of email capabilities in the PowerTeacher Pro gradebook. The problem is our Administration is unwilling to open access to all teachers without some limitations. I propose that PowerTeacher messaging is limited to a single category, possibly a new category for class notifications. Second, teachers are limited to sending messages to their students (only students in their sections) or students enrolled in an activity. Last, teachers can use their section (class) or activity to create a selection to send a message to, teachers don't have to create or maintain…

Limit users by category
Is it possible to set up the system so certain users can only send to certain categories, we only want our nurses to be able to send in the medical category and want no-one other than sysadmin to be able to send our report categories

PowerSchool Current selection Can Include Pre-Enrolled Students
When sending an announcement to the current selection the system still filters the current selection to include only active students. This is especially a problem for pre-registered students as we want to include them in messages.
The current suggested work-around is to upload a CSV of these students to send a notification. That may work for some, but this time of year we register an average of 10-15 new students per day. One of the biggest reasons we purchased this solution to get away from exporting/importing CSV files.
Please remove any filters from the current selection.
